To pursue MBA at Bengal Institute of Business Studies you need to have a Bachelor degree with minimum 40-45% in graduation. The Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) in Kolkata considers scores from the MAT, CAT, or XAT entrance exams for admission to its management courses. If you don't have a score from one of these exams, you can take the BIBSAT, which is an entrance exam administered by the institute itself. The cutoff of CAT exam was 60 percentile in past three consecutive years. You must aim for 70-80 to be at safer side.

Students applying to BIBS may be eligible for scholarships and this mean that students who perform well academically may have an opportunity of being assisted financially. Entrance tests that are acceptable to Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) for admissions into MBA course include the following. The only entrance tests that are acceptable in the case of this selection process are CAT, XAT and MAT. Further, candidates who are absent of valid scores may attempt BIBSAT an entrance examination held by the institute. Besides the entrance examination candidates are also required to sit for a personal interview once they qualify the examination.

The placement cell at BIBS = helps in getting recruitments from over 400 companies every year to provide diverse fields of job opportunities to each student. As per the placement statistics of BIBS Kolkata seems to have better placements than CIEM. Currently, BIBS has 100% placement offers and more than 400 firms come to recruiting the students. In BIBS the maximum salary offered to students was of 13.LIST OF TABLES Chapter 2 Table 2. 6 Lacs Per Annum and the average being somewhere around 4 Lacs per annum. 5-6. 25 LPA.
