Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject from a recognised university are eligible to apply for MSc. The application process is online. Admission to the PG course is both entrance and merit-based. For 15 specialisations, the admission is merit-based and for the other 11, admission is through the in-house entrance exam. Aspirants who have passed class 12 with required subjects from a recognised board are eligible for admission. The student must have studied the relevant subject such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics depending upon the applied BSc specialisation. Furthermore, the selection is based on the applicants scores in NCHMCT JEE/ JEE Main. Based on merit in the entrance exam, the university carries out the seat allotment process.

The total tuition fees for MBA ranges between INR 3,740 – INR 5.6 lakh. The given fee is however as per some unofficial sources and is subject to change. Further, the MBA application fee for general category students is INR 400 and INR 200 for SC/ST category candidates. The fee payment can be done online through credit card/debit card/or net banking. Bharathiar University admission to the PG course is through the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). This state-level entrance exam is conducted by Anna University.
