To be eligible to acquire a Diploma from BVBFTS, students need to attend 80% of the classes, 70% of the practical, participate in all required projects, and must secure pass marks (40%) in all examinations.

Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for BVBFTS UG Diploma courses. Since the selection is entrance-based, aspirants must also pass the admission test conducted by the college. Candidates have to pay an application fee of INR 300 in the form of DD in favour of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, payable at New Delhi, or pay by cash. An INR 100 is chargeable for prospectus. Aspirants after paying the application fee must keep the fee receipt with themselves for future reference.
