For admission to IIT Bhilai MTech course, students are admitted through a valid GATE score. As per the selection process, candidates must pass graduation with BTech from a recognised board. Further, candidates need to appear for GATE entrance exams and get a qualifying score to get shortlisted for the course. Later on, the final seat allotment is done through COAP Counselling session. IIT Bhilai accepts admission based on the scoring in JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exams. There is no other provision for admission. It is compulsory for students to take the JEE Main exam. Candidates who secure a valid rank in JEE Advanced further need to take part in the JoSAA counselling for seat allotment.

To get admission to the IIT Bhilai BTech course, candidates have to fill out the JEE Main online application form must and check the eligibility criteria of each course before filling the form. Candidates who pass Class 12 with minimum 75% aggregate in the final examination are eligble to apply for the course. Candidates can apply by visiting the NTA website (nta.ac.in). The admission is based on JEE Advanced scores, followed by JoSAA Counselling.

The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is 5791 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Bhilai - Indian Institute of Technology.
