In respect of persons with disability candidates, the minimum qualifying marks in the said examinations shall be 45% in case of General Category and 40% in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for theNational Eligibility Cum Entrance Test'. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon'ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur

The lower age limit is 17 years on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission.

For admission to BHMS at PP Savani University, students need to pass Class 12 with PCB as the main subject from a recognised board, as per the minimum eligibility criteria. The minimum age limit of the applicant must be 17 years. There is a separate eligibility criteria for the students from the Gujarat board, CBSE and Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations Board. The admission to BHMS is entrance-based. Aspirants need to qualify for NEET UG entrance exam with a valid score.
