CSE in NIT-Bhopal is better than chemical engineering in Surat, no matter that NIT-Surat is far better than NIT-Bhopal, but taking core branch is highly beneficial than taking a non-core branch.

Depends on your choice of branches. If you are looking for Pure Sciences, then no, none of the IISERs mandatorily require a Maths background for BS-MS admissions. However, if you are applying for the Engineering Science (EECS and Chem. Engineering) and the Economics programme at IISER Bhopal, then you are required to have a math background in class 11th and class 12th. Also, as a previous answer pointed out, the Aptitude Test has 25% questions from Mathematics. So, if you are a non-math student, you would be well-advised to maybe spend the last couple of months going over a few basics from class 11th and class 12th NCERT textbooks, so

Are you talking about Regional College, Bhopal? If yes, then you must know that there is no honours programme available in this college. B.Sc is available only in collaboration with B.Ed. If no, then please specify in your question.

SRM-R is more established and has been there for many years. However, I feel the curriculum in VIT is more academic and focused. Also, all the branches of VIT compete among each other for better results. It's a tough call but i would prefer VIT Bhopal because of the better curriculum and bhopal may be a newer campus but it will come up as VIT makes sure that its brand name prevails.
All the best.

VIT Bhopal's scene can only get to know by going there. There may be a chance that you do get CSE but attend the counselling there. Bhopal has not had even 1 batch passing out yet. But VIT has combined placements so if you study well in your 4 years irrespective of your campus you would get placed.
All the best!

This year, VIT is taking admission for Ranks above 1,00,000 in Bhopal Campus. You should go and check there. There is a possibility you could get admission. Bhopal is a newer campus and. So, its slowly picking momentum. The best option will be to go and attend counselling in Bhopal as only this year VIT has started counselling for 100k above ranks. All the Best!

Hi Barti,
This is the newest campus of VIT and last year, students got CSE below 1 lakh rank easily and I think it's not a better option to take admission in Bhopal campus because fee structure is similar to VIT, Vellore and Chennai campus. And, its infrastructure is not fully completed and it's still under development.
If you think to take admission in VIT, then you should refer Vellore or Chennai campus now and if you are not getting this campus, then you should try for other university or college.
I hope this helps.
