Yes you can resume your B.Tech after the gaps of three years. Please contact to your college for better response. However three years of gaps can be matter in placement.

I think you should develop interest in Biotech Engineering as you are already enrolled into it. If you are in first year of the course, please find out if there is an option of sliding the branch in 2nd year in your college. Also check what are the criteria for changing branch. What's your interest, anyway?
