Eligibility Of the Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biochemistry)
In order to become eligible for M.Sc. Biochemistry, the candidate should have Bachelors degree with minimum 50% marks aggregate in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology and other Life Sciences subjects. Few colleges that follow this criteria are Jaipur National University, Jaipur, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, KanpurandSophia College for Women, Mumbai.

The basic requirement for IIT JAM exam is, candidates should have Bachelors degree as a qualifying examination degree, must be passed with minimum 55% aggregate marks if they are from General and OBC-NCL category or minimum 50% if they are from SC/ST/PwD category.
The Biotechnology (BT) test paper comprises of Biology (44% weightage), Chemistry (20% weightage), Mathematics (18% weightage) and Physics (18% weightage).
