Selection for MBBS is through an All India Entrance Examination. (Details in Entrance Details & Syllabus). The qualification required for entrance is 10+2 or equivalent with Science subjects. In the case of private medical colleges entrance examinations are conducted by the institutes individually. In addition to MBBS, candidate should complete House Surgency or internship for one year.

You can appear for separate exams of 12th (science) but you cannot do marine biology after studying commerce.

Eligibility for NASA Exam are given below:
Qualification:
Candidate should have Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, biological science,
Physical science or mathematic and should have good academic records.
Candidate should have ability to pass the NASA long-duration space flight physical.
Specific requirements:
Distant and near visual acuity:
Must be correctable t20/20, each eye
Blood pressure not exceed 140/90
Standing height between 62 and 75 inches

Bachelor Courses:
Bachelor of Engineering in Genetic Engineering
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Genetic Engineering

The M.Sc Marine Biology in Pondicherry University, Puducherry (Approved by UGC) is a 5-year duration course and it aims to develop man power in the field of marine biology.
Eligibility: A pass in the B.Sc Degree examination in Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Fisheries and Aquaculture) with not less than 55% of marks in Part III.
The selection of candidates for admission to the M.Sc Marine Biology programmes will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination only.

Hi Namitha,
Some important topics in biology for IISER entrance exam are:
Ecology and environment, genetics and evolution and reproduction. Questions would be mostly from these topics. It does not mean that you won't get any question outside this. It only means they carry more weightage.
You can also practice the IISER 2018 sample papers. This will help you to get an idea about the kind of questions that are asked from various subjects and topics.
