No biology in 12th is not compulsory but yes, if you have , it will prove to be really helpful throughout the course as maximum core subjects in food technology include biology.

No, you need to have a minimum of 50 percent marks in PCM in order to be eligible for any engineering programme and a minimum of 50 percent mark in PCB. It is the minimum marks required as per the directive of All India Council for Technical Education and MCI and none of the institutes can give any relaxation.
