It is not necessary to take biology in class 12th as the major subjects required for food technology are PCM (PHYSICS, chemistry, maths), but taking biology would be helpful as this course is about food which directly relates to biology because human system, metabolism, nutrition, food microbiology and other aspects of biology are involved.

SEE you can do MCA if There is one paper of maths/statistics in any semester/year of your Undergraduate degree for getting in into MCA course in NIT's By cracking Entrance exam Named NIMCET. Secondly If You have not any paper for maths/statistics in your undergraduate degree then you have to check for university which allow without this eligibility.
