I suggest Computer Science engineering, as it is now leading branch in the technical world. Huge opportunities, best career options were available in CSE. When compared to Biomedical, it is far better, because many software companies emerging and lot of human power needed. So, choose software stream.

No, without mathematics, how will you appear for the engineering entrance exams. In engineering entrance exams, you are tested for three subjects mainly physics, chemistry and mathematics. So, you need to have mathematics, as your one of subjects either in main or optional form.

Placements: In the year 2018, almost 60% of the students got placed in IT companies. Actually, TCS is a mass recruiter and it recruited 170 students out of 350 eligible candidates last year. Expect TCS, many other companies like I GET, Johnson Control, Microsoft and IXIA comes here for recruitment.

No they both are different. The difference between bio engineering and biomedical engineering is that bio engineering is a global term which encompasses the biomedical engineering and it is applied to all life sciences and medicine while biomedical engineering more focuses on medical and healthcare.

It is not possible for a biology students to take admission in bio medical engineering . With biology you should have to have mathematics as your one subject. Because bio -medical engineers are after all will deal with the calculations , so if you score good marks in your engineering entrance still you need to have Mathematics as your subject in Class 12th. However, you can pursue B.E (Bachelor of Engineering) in biotechnology. Good Luck Sayan.

Those who have completed three years recognised polytechnic diploma and have cleared state level lateral entry admission test can seek admission through lateral entry scheme to the third semester of a B Tech programme at GMEC. Every year, around 10% secure admission through lateral entry scheme in each branch to the third semester of a B Tech programme, I mean for lateral entry admissions to B Tech, Second Year for Diploma holders, there will be additional 10% in annual intake (Govt. & Management Seats) in each branch.

Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare equipment manufacturing sectors are the prime recruiters. Government agencies such as Drugs Department, State wise Health Departments are also known to recruit B.E. /B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering Graduates. Graduates may also find jobs in Pathological labs, Clinics and Hospitals as well as Rehabilitation Clinics.
