Aspirants need to pass bachelor's degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology,  Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics and Biomedical Sciences) with a minimum of 6.0 out of 10 CGPA to apply for MSc course. Candidates belonging to OBC and EWS category need a CGPA of 5.5 out of 10.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology/ Mathematics and English with at least 50% aggregate (47.5% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for College of Biotechnology, DUVASU BTech programme. Besides, Aspirants must have completed the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2024. The maximum age limit is 25 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates).

Yes, you are eligible to go for Biotechnology at IIT JAM. This is because maths is not a compulsary subject for Biotechnology. Thus, prepare well to get into IIT JAM. All the best.

Admission to BSc programme is based on a common entrance test conducted by BVDU, namely CET BBT. Candidates, who have completed Class 12 in Science stream, can apply for the same. However, the final selection of students will be based on the marks secured in CET BBT and HSC.
