For Biotechnology Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 75 students who applied to placements, 65 students were placed meaning almost 90% placement for Biotechnology which is astonishing considering the fact many core Companies rolling out offers. The minimum salary offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary was 7 LPA and the maximum salary was 18 LPA for biotechnology specialisation. All these figures pop out a good reputation at NIT-Warangal. The first batch was passed out recently only, as it was established in 2015. So, Coming to the placement opportunities it might increase in the future after 2022. As of now the students who are passing out in the year 2020 or 2021 would get average decent packages.

Hi,Placements were decent. Few companies visit every year. The salary offered is good. Sales and marketing jobs are abundant, although a small percentage did get research jobs. But, after Bachelor's degree, people usually move abroad to study further. Thanks.

Hi,
Any student who is contemplating on pursuing a career in Biotechnology must be aware that this field is still developing in India. Therefore, the number of job openings and pay packages are both very low when compared with IT and CS fields. After a B.Tech degree, students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs and institutions in India.
