Forensic Science has better scope than biotechnology in India as of now. Both the fields are good for career in future and it depends on your interest whether you want to go for forensic or Biotechnology. In Forensic it will deal with criminology, testing or investigation. Biotechnology be is research based related to genetics of Plants, Animals and Humans, research related to plan to a and animals or different aspects.

Career scope of Biotechnology in India is good enough.
But the opportunities in industrial sector is less than Research Sector.
If you like Research Field, then Biotechnology will be the right choice for you.
You can also get chance to work in IIT's , IISc, CSIR Labs. which is a dream of many Science students.
Biotechnological Techniques are useful in - Environment Conservation, Health care, Medicines, Agriculture, Industrial Research & Development.
