Hi,
Biotechnology is a research oriented subject, if you want a job after completing M.Sc in Biotechnology it won't help, you have to go for PhD to get a job in research labs or a teaching job in some good institutes. If you are not interested in research then go for MBA, but don't do MBA in Biotechnology because again it will limit your career opportunities. You can also do M.Sc in microbiology or biochemistry, these subjects have better opportunities then M.Sc Biotechnology. Actually, biotechnology is a vast subject it's not only one subject it's a combination of many subjects, along with microbiology and biochemistry you have to stud

I have completed my B.Sc Biotechnology from Mumbai University and later, I got to know of a totally new field which very few people in India know about. It's called Nuclear Medicine & Fusion Imaging Technology. It involves use of Radioisotopes in imaging of cancer patients and also it has therapeutic applications. Also very few universities offer the courses related to Nuclear Medicine & most of them are Govt. Universities. The entrance exams are also very competitive . But the scope of becoming an Nuclear Medicine Technologist or a Fusion Imaging Technologist is very vast. In the abroad ,its a more reputed & responsible job. Thus givi

Both micro and biotechnology are deep biology. Biotechnology is more research based. Microbiology is also research based but there is one difference that microbiology students can easily get a job in comparison to biotechnology students.
If you have resources, only then you should opt for biotechnology else you can pursue Masters in microbiology.

Both the streams are equally good, opt for the one that you love the most and are most passionate about and analyze the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission. You can also opt for psychometric test comprising of aptitude, personality and career interest to clear confusion.
You can refer to the link mentioned below for the scope of biotechnology:
