Cut off by rank for general class is 30632 and for ST it is 29621 and for OBC it is 30346.

The eligibility for AT courses in India is that the candidate must have B.Sc. [Sugar Technology], B.Tech. [Food and Chemical Technology], B.E. [Chemical Engineering], B.Sc. [Microbiology], B.Sc. [Biochemistry, Chemistry. Please check with your desired institution for further clarifications.

Hope you are doing good. Here is your answer to your query. B.Sc. In biotechnology is a rare group but candidates will have great future by doing this. Eligibility criteria for this group is candidate seeking admission to B.Sc. Bio-Technology have to pass 10+2 with stream of Physics Chemistry as core subjects with more than 50% overall and 45% for SC / ST students and 60% in each core subject. For getting admission we need to attend entrance exam for B.Sc. Biotechnology are JMI Entrance Exam DUET KCET KIITEE. The CUET cutoff at University of Hydrabad for M.Sc in Biotechnology scorewise for various categories is given as follows:
UR- 6.5 - 8.5
OBC- 6-8
SC- 10-12
ST- 12.5
EWS-11.12 - 13.75

For Jamia Milia, it is 58.25 for general and 52.5 in first round and in second and third round, it decreases nearly about 40-45.

There are total 280 seats available for M.Sc. Biotechnology in VIT Vellore and the closing rank for the same is 13500 so, you have to score much better than that.

BUT what if u could not make it to iits or nits
Well no worries, In fact MAHARASHTRA has best government and private engineering colleges in india
U need to give MH-CET exam and with that depending on your rank you can choose following colleges
With respect to CS branch I am giving list of top colleges :
1. PICT PUNE
If u are getting CS branch in it then just go for it
A SEMI GOV. COLLEGE and probably top most in Pune currently.
2. COEP PUNE
The howgwarts of Pune. The oldest and still one of the best in Pune
U need to score really good in MH-CET to grab CS seat in this college. If you really want IIT type college but you failed to get into II

A minimum of 55% of marks in subjects like Physcis, Chemistry and Mathematics will b3 demanded by all institutions for Biotechnology. It seems impossible to study Bio Tech with a commerce background.

NEET Is not required to get seat for B.Tech in biotechnology, as its is a technical course you must passed your 12th with 55-60% marks with PCM as subjects. And also have to give some exams to get a seat if you want to get seat in top most colleges in India. Hope this will help you. For other Queries you can ask me.
