Yes of course you can do M.Sc Botany post your graduation in Biotechnology in LPU. A four semester programme, to enable graduate students to pursue doctoral studies or professional employment, through imparting in depth knowledge in plant biology along with three semester independent research project leading to dissertation. Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree ( Medical Science and Allied Medical or Biosciences or Life Sciences or Plant Science) or Botany or equivalent. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants)
You need a minimum of M.Sc/ M.Tech to get an entry level job. As biotechnology syllabi in most colleges include most of the topics taught in life sciences, you should find it relatively easier to choose and Excel in any field you do your M.Sc in. The hottest fields right now are molecular biology, computational biology, biochemistry, genetics etc. You can also apply for Pharma. You can also study law, specialising in bioethics. I have no idea of eligibility of BTech biotechnology at IPU but being alumni of LPU, I can assure you that you can get admission in BTech biotechnology with minimum of 60% marks in PCB and English and by qualifying LPUNEST exam.
After having a BTech degree from LPU in biotech., students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs, and institutions in India. However, most Indian students tend to go abroad to pursue their masters or doctorate studies in Biotechnology and allied fields. Some students also shift to MBA and enter the world of business, finance, and banking as their engineering background gives them the required quantitative skills to excel in these sectors. Also, many students shift to software through on-campus placements.
