BSc Biotechnology is 3 years (six semesters) and BTech Biotechnology is 4 years (8 semesters). Comparatively, BSc Biotechnology is much more relaxed than BTech, the number of coursework and lab work will be less and you will be introduced to the core subjects right from the first year whereas in BTech 1st year will have common engineering coursework (Refer any university syllabus) with very little or no core subjects. From 2nd year there will be 6 or 7 coursework and 3 or 4 lab works to complete in each semester. This can change from one university to another but it won't be less than that. Most BSc courses may not include chemical

Biotechnology course is a highly complex discipline that demands intelligence, inventiveness, and, perhaps most importantly, patience and tenacity. You must stay current and actively seek opportunities to obtain hands-on experience and instruction. You may work in a pressure-filled, frequently unpleasant workplace because many careers in Biotechnology focus on deadlines and time limits. After all, there is an ongoing demand for these life-altering medications, thus it is only fair that scientists are given strict timelines.
