Both the colleges are good Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT), Dharwad was set up in 2015. It was established under Public-Private Partnership  (PPP) between the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), the Government of India, the Government of Karnataka and KEONICS.
