BITS - Pilani is safe for girls. This is based on my personal experiences as an ex-student of the university.

Pilani is a very small town with limited facilities of hired accommodation outside the campus. Although, it's not compulsory to stay in the hostel at BITS Pilani it is preferable to stay in the hostel for the overall development of a student. Only local students whose parents are employed in and around Pilani stay outside hostel.

Dear Harsha,
It is typical to mention that cut-off of BITS, Hyderabad but still
looking at the rise in the cutoffs from previous years, we can assume that this year's cut-off might be anywhere between 335-340. But yes, no one can be sure of the cut-offs, so aim for 350 to be on the safer side.
