You have to give CAT again for consideration

For admissions in BITS - Pilani, one should have 80% individually in PCM and overall 60% marks in class 12th. This is the criteria and entrance exam should also be cleared.

The admission process will start by the end of first week of december

Eligibility criteria for B.Tech mechanical engineering is that candidate should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics and adequate proficiency in English. Candidate is required to sit for BITSAT examination.

M.Sc honors is a four year integrated course after class 12th at BITS. Dual degree in BITS means that you can do another higher graduation degree along with M.Sc degree, e.g. M.Sc physics student can do B.Tech ECE as second / dual degree, simultaneously by choosing electives in M.Sc degree from B.Tech syllabus to reduce time period of second degree. In five to six years an average plus student can do both.

You can get the desired value, if you are an engineering graduate.

BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) is almost equal and better then even legacy IITs in few engineering branches. It is definitely a better option in comparison to VIT.

BITS is better than NITs.

M.Sc students are allowed to join dual degree program under which student can work for two degrees simultaneously. For example, a student of M.Sc in physics can work for BE mechanical engineering etc.

As BITS doesnt focus merely on CAT percentile but sees the overall profile and SOP for shortlisting so to be on a safe side a CAT percentile above 80% will be fine.
