For BITS Hyderabad ME course admission, candidates can apply with a valid GATE score. Apart from GATE, the candidates can also apply with a BITS HD entrance test score. Apart from this, for final selection, the shortlisted candidates also have to participate in the group discussion and personal interview rounds conducted by the institute. The institute releases a separate merit list for candidates who applied through GATE and BITS HD.

Many top companies visit BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus for placements, including E&Y, Deloitte, Flipkart, Google, etc. BITS Pilani has also released an overall placements report till Aug 2022, as per which 109 companies visited the campus. The highest and average package offered stood at INR 60.75 LPA and INR 30.37 LPA, respectively. BITS Hyderabad releases a course-wise cut-off list after the conclusion of the respective entrance exams. In 2022, the maximum mark required for admission to the courses through BITSAT was 390. BITS Scholarship Endowment Fund is created to provide scholarships to meritorious students with a constrained financial background.
