Shiksha Ask & Answer
ABHISHEK K If you do not go to the end, why to start?

Scholar-Level 17

Hello Pragya
Actually, BJMC is considered to be the modern and professional degree in journalism and mass communication. BA has a little less weightage of subjects while BJMC covers all the aspects of journalism and mass communication. It includes subjects from literature, public relations, advertisement to criminal procedure, politics, constitution and international relations. There is little difference in subjects and syllabus. However, both are considered to be same. Some colleges offers BA while some offer BJMC. However, students don't encounter with any sort of employment problem. As this field requires a lot of talent.
Thank you,

Hello Akash It is considered to be one of the best college nowadays. It has been granted many approvals and journalism department is affiliated to CCS University. It focuses to provide each and every facility to the students from theoretical to practical. The focus is laid upon industrial visits.
HIMCOM is purely meant for the education of mass communication and no other courses are available there. But, if you are looking for BJMC tan let me tell you that HIMCOM doesn't offer BJMC rather they offer BMC + DMLP which is an integrated course.
Thank you.

Actually it depends upon the college and the quota for ST/SC/OBC in that particular college, institute or university. Majorly they have their own entrance exam for selection with a Personal Interview. I have completed my post graduation from NIMCJ and they MACJET entrance exam.

With the above-said marks, it is difficult to take admission in this institute, yet I suggest going through the following link:

There is no such major differences between BA in mass communication and BJMC (Bachelors in journalism and mass communication). The course duration is three years. What differs is the number of subjects and the pattern of course. Bachelor of Journalism and mass communication is a specific graduate programme designed for this field whereas Bachelor of Arts has included mass communication courses along with various other courses of this stream.

Some institutes put the age criteria of the candidate to be less than 30 years. Therefore, you are eligible for the journalism course. Join NIMCJ for BJMC course without the age limit.
