Hello Saleem,
For you the only gateway of this college is to attempt COMEDK and secure a rank less than 5000 to get your desired branch in BMS-Bangalore.
All the best.

DA-IICT offers admission to a student only through JEE All India Rank. So, I'm sorry you don't have a chance in DA where the last year's cut-off was around 12K and I have no clue about the admission system of the other institutes you have mentioned above.

Yes, a Diploma holder can join B.Tech course (regular or distance) by D2D process after completing Diploma in Engineering. B.Tech program allows Diploma students to take entry directly into the second year of engineering course.
For taking admission in B.Tech, you must have done at least 3 years Diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering.

You have a good CGPA. But as to if lateral entry is possible or not, you'll have to contact the admission office. I guess, it depends on a lot of factors like if there is a vacancy in that department that year. It is better to contact the admission office, I'm sure they'll help you out.
Good luck.

In BMSCE, if you have a good ComedK rank, you will get admission. Mostly, a rank within 2500 would help you to get a branch of your choice.
Hope this helps.

For placements in BMSCE, a CGPA of 7/10 would do. However, some companies do have a cut-off of 8 or 8.5. So, it is better to have a good CGPA. But placements do not depend on marks alone. Aptitude, personality, knowledge and communication also matters.
All the best.
