BGSU is one of the safest colleges in the US. It was ranked 27th on the 2017 list of the safest Colleges in America. BGSU Department of Public Safety offers around-the-clock protection and sponsors many crime prevention programs. The university shuttle, sophisticated outdoor lighting system and outdoor emergency telephones combine to provide a campus environment that feels safe and secure.

Bowling Green State University is located in Bowling Green, Ohio, USA. It is a two and half hour drive from Cleveland, about one and half hours south of Detroit, and three hours north of Cincinnati. Furthermore, Toledo Express Airport is about thirty minutes drive from campus. As a city, Bowling Green is easy to reach by car and is within comfortable driving distance of most major cities in Ohio and the East Coast.

Bowling Green State University is situated on a 1338-acre campus, including 116 buildings. There are over 20,400 students at the university. Out of this, 18,700 students are there on-campus and 1,700 are there at BGSU Fairlands.

Founded in 1910, Bowling Green State University is a public university. The university has two campuses namely the Main Campus and Fairlands Campus, totaling 1032 acres and 107 buildings. But, in total, there are more than 116 buildings of the university which constitutes to 1338-acre campus. The university offers more than 200 undergraduate majors and graduate-level and online programs.
