The eligibility criteria for admission to the LLM course at Brainware University is candidates must complete their Bachelor's in Law which means LLB with a minimum of 45% aggregate. Additionally, the university gives concession to the reserved category candidates- 42% for OBC & 40% for SC/ST candidates. BU Kolkata LLM admission is based on candidates' scores in BET (Brainwaer Eligibility Test). This eligibility test is conducted by the university's authority and test comprises Law and English-related questions.

The eligibility criteria required by the university to get admission into the BCA course is candidates must complete their Class 12 from a recognised board of education with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Candidates qualifying Class 12 from any stream are eligible. The foremost and important selection process that candidates are required to follow to get admission into the BCA course at Brainware University is, that they must appear in the BET exam and secure a valid score.

A pass in Class 12 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) and at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) or equivalent grade in any three subjects taken together (Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ CS/ Electronics/ IT/ Biology/ informatics Practice/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship) with individual pass marks in both practical and theory and pass marks in English is required to apply for BTech course.

A pass in Class 12 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD) is required to apply for the Brainware University BCA course. Reservation policies of the Department of Higher Education, West Bengal will be followed for admission in reserved seats for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD. Candidates must hold the documents required for verification at the later stages of admission.
