Yes, an associate's degree in computer scince from Columbia College Vancouver is definitely worth it. An Associate Degree is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year university degree. An Associate Degree allows you to enter into the third year of a university’s Bachelor Degree programme in Canada. An associate degree in CS from Columbia College opens doors directly to the University of British Columbia and Simon Frasers University.

The University of British Columbia GPA requirements will depend on the programme type. There is no particular number set by the university, but students must have at least a GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 to be considered for admission. For admission in master's programme at UBC, students must achieve a First Class/Division 1 (65%) or Very Good (8 on a 10-point scale) in bachelor's degree. It is feasible to pursue higher education at Vancouver Island University (VIU) while residing in Vancouver. This is a common choice made by students who commute between Vancouver and Vancouver Island to further their education. Depending on the mode of transportation, the trip time may change.
