btech Eligibility

The B.Tech programme at JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus (JEMTEC) requires applicants to meet two main eligibility criteria: academic qualifications and entrance exams. Academic qualifications include a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 examinations from a recognised board, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Subjects studied may vary slightly depending on the chosen B.Tech specialization, but typically include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.Entrance exams are primarily the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains, with some exceptions. JEMTEC may also accept scores from the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET), but JEE Mains is the preferred entrance exam.Securing the minimum eligibility criteria doesn't guarantee admission; shortlisted candidates are selected based on their rank or score in the entrance exam, which can vary depending on the number of applicants and available seats. The B.Tech programme at Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT) requires applicants to have completed their H.S. (10+2) examination from the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and pass marks in English with a minimum of 30%. Candidates must also qualify for either the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. Seat allocation is based on WBJEE ranks, JEE (Main) ranks, and the Management Quota based on merit and other institute-determined criteria. Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31st of the year of admission. The specific eligibility criteria and selection process may be subject to change.

Admission to all the courses depends on candidates’ marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BTech programme offered by any of the affiliated institution of Bhabha University must meet the minimum eligibility requirement set up by the University. Bahbha University eligibility criteria for B.Tech programme is Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject or Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks. Candidate belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category from Madhya Pradesh must obtain at least 40% aggregate in qualifying examination. Bhabha University also offers admission to the BTech programme thrugh lateral entry for which, candidate must have passed a regular three-year Engineering Diploma programme examination in appropriate branch of Engineering or Technology from AICTE or UGC recognised institute or must have passed BSc degree examination with Mathematics at Class 12 and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates from Madhya Pradesh) in the qualifying examination.
