Candidates willing to take admission in BTech course through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT) must have done Class 12 from Kerala State Board or a recognised board in Science stream with Mathematics and Physics and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate. With CUCAT, candidates can get admission in various other courses. Candidates are suggested to check the Shiksha's page to know about detailed eligibility criteria.

For undergraduate (UG) courses like B.Tech at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. For postgraduate (PG) courses like M.Tech candidate need a relevant Bachelor degree with at least 55% aggregate marks. The basic eligibility criteria to take admission at Poornima college of engineering is that the student need to have passed his 12 th in PCM with minimum 45 percent. Along with this, the student need to qualify the entrance exam also. The Institute accepts the score of two entrance exams, REAP and JEE mains. Students need to qualify in any one of the above mentioned entrance exam. Cutoff will be released according to the seats intake and applications. Most of the students take admission thorough JEE Mains score only.
