The eligibility criteria for the BTech course at Pimpri Chinchwad University (PCU) is that candidates should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40 marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). The entrance exams accepted include MHT-CET /JEE Main  / PERA / CUET or Entrance Test Conducted by PCU.

The eligibility criteria for BTech at Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University differ based on the course. Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission to BTech in Food Technology.

NIT Andhra Pradesh offers a BTech degree in eight specialisations. Admission to a four-year duration course is done on the basis of JEE Main. The basic eligibility to apply to the BTech programme is a minimum of 75% aggregate in Class 12. The total fee of the programme is INR 5,44,900 (for the income group more than INR 5,00,000).

The selection to BTech course is based on JEE Main or NIMSEE score. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria to avoid rejection at the later stages of admission. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university. Class 12 in the Science stream is the basic eligibility for BTech at GITAM Institute of Technology, Visakhapatnam. Further, the candidates need to qualify GAT for securing admission to the BTech course at the institute.

To be eligible for the entrance exam, candidates must have passed their class 12 with a minimum of 50% for the General category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC category in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, or Biology. Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in engineering from a State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 50% for the General category and 45% for the SC/ST/OBC category are also eligible. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination may also apply for the entrance exam.
