It is necessary that each aspirant fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. Thus, the aspirants who have completed Class 12 with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for reserved category) in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Computer Science are eligible to apply for a BTech course in HBTU. Moreover, for BTech Lateral Entry, aspirants need to pass CUET exam and should have completed a three-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST).

To be eligible for undergraduate courses, applicants must either have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in their secondary education (10+2) or be currently enrolled in a recognised Board (such as CBSE, UP Board, ICSE, or any other State/National Board) for their secondary education (10+2).

The eligibility for the B.Tech course in any of the college is that the student must have to pass his +2 or its equivalent degree from the recognised university or college. The admission process is that the student should appear for the entrance exam conducted by the government for the selection for eligible students by the merit list after the entrance exam.
