The admission guidelines for the B.E. / B.Tech programme offered at GMRIT are the score of the candidate in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exam. The necessary academic qualification required for any aspirants to be able to write this examination is 10 + 2 conducted by any recognised board/ university with minimum of forty five percent marks for general category and forty percent for SC & ST/ PWD candidates in the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. These candidates are then divided into ranks based on the score of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, and the candidate is then to get a seat through counseling. Management quota is also available for students in GMRIT who do not obtain any rank in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET exam. 

The admission procedure in the B.E./B.Tech course in Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering is based on the ranking acquired by the candidate in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) organised by Anna University. It follows merit, with candidates placed according to their percentage in class 12 board exams in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. A pass of at least 50 percent in the core subjects is often mandatory for this course. Also, the usual age requirements and other qualifications as provided by TNEA must also be fulfilled by candidates. Management quota seats may well have its own style, its own way of short listing candidates and even set criteria that one has to pass through interviews. 

The cut off percentages obtained in the JEE Main or MH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) are taken as the criteria for admitting students in the B.E./B.Tech. programme offered in Datta Meghe College of Engineering. For admission, the candidates have to clear Class 12 examination with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) marks in Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics aggregate. The colleges conduct admissions through the Centralized Admission Process of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. To be precise, these cut-off scores change annually, and also, depending on the category. Direct admissions can be given under management seat also, but only after the condition laid down by AICTE and Maharashtra state government are met.
