The basic eligibility for admission to the B.E/B.Tech degree programme at the Mailam Engineering College is as explained below.1. Educational QualificationsCompleted XII Grade (or equivalent):The candidates who wish to pursue this degree should have completed 12 the grade, or an equivalent exam with a recognised board, and must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects.The General Category candidates must have obtained at least an aggregate of 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics put together.In the case of reserved category candidates i.e. SC/ST/OBC candidates, relaxation in the minimum marks criteria is given (normally 40-45% marks). 2. Age LimitConsiderable age limit is also imposed to candidates for the course and it is usually stacked not more than 21 years (relaxed in case of the reserved categories)This age limit should not have been crossed by the candidates in the academic year in which they are making the application.3. Entrance Exam (if any)Normally entries into the course B.E/B.Tech is on merit basis, that is, on the basis of marks obtained in the 12th grade.TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is a single window system of counselling for all the aspirants who are seeking admission to the engineering courses in Tamil Nadu.The students applying under TNEA who have completed their 12th grade will be selected based on marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics only.Where the college organizes its own entrance test and considers the tests whether JEE Main or others, the applicants have to meet the cutoff scores.  4. The prime entrance examination performance criteria has been considered for shortlisting the candidates for B.E. / B.Tech courses in Scient Institute of Technology (SIT), Ibrahimpatnam. In order to gain admission into the B.E. / B.Tech courses at Mookambigai College of Engineering (MCE) in Keeranur, the following eligibility criteria must be satisfied by the applicant :-Academic Qualifications:The applicant must have attended higher secondary or an equivalent examination with core subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.In these subjects, a specific percentage of aggregate marks is usually required which is about 50% and above for some courses and categories of candidates up to 60% and above for most cases.Entrance Examination:The admission is mostly on the basis of merit list drawn up for the purpose of TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) which is basically an engineering counseling process in Tamil-Nadu based on the marks obtained by the candidate in 12th standard. This TNEA is conducted by the government of Tamil Nadu for the admission of engineering candidates to various colleges including Mookambigai College of Engineering.There is no separate entrance testing for MCE but, the TNEA rank that was assigned during the counseling process is one of the elements for the final selection.Category-specific Relaxation:There may be a concession in the minimum marks prescribed for candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, etc.) as per government norms.

Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering- The selection criteria for B.E. / B.Tech programs in the college are based on the Gujarat Common Entrance Test, GUJCET or JEE Main performance by candidates. The candidate must have completed his or her 10+2 education, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Counseling makes up one part of the admission process as well, in which seats are allotted to candidates who have been declared eligible, based upon rank in GUJCET or JEE Main and preference of branch. The minimum eligibility criteria for the B.E. / B.Tech programs at Sai Spurthi Institute of Technology, Khammam are carried out on the basis of performance in EAMCET-Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test. Conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, every candidate is required to have a 10+2 level education with a percentage of marks minimum to be 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and 40% marks in those subjects for candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Admissions to this course are through counseling on account of the rank achieved in EAMCET. In addition to this, the college has management seats that are restricted to a certain number of candidates who qualify in eligibility criteria.
