Selection criteria at University B.D.T College of Engineering, Visvesvaraya Technological University for B.E. / B.Tech course:Admission to this college is made completely through Common Entrance Test  (CET) conducted by Government of Karnataka through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Selection is based on the Merit and Reservation in accordance with the policies of the Government of Karnataka. CET will be generally conducted during the month of April/May of every year. Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to different categories viz., General Merit, SC/ST, Category I, II, III & IV, and Political Sufferers, Defence, Sports, NCC and Physically Handicapped. Selection through Diploma quota and G.O.I quota are made by the Director of Technical Education, Bangalore    The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC /12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A,2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.Thanks

Eligitibilty criteria for B.E. / B.Tech Admissions: All candidates who seek admission in B.E. / B.Tech courses under Rural Engineering College may apply if they have passed 10 + 2 examination or equivalent from a recognised board in which he/she must have Physics, Chemistry and Math's as compulsory subjects.Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of reserved categories).Entrance Exam: Admission usually takes place based on marks obtained in entrance examination conducted at the state level, such as MHT CET or national level exams, like JEE Main.Minimum Age: The candidate should have completed at least 17 years of age by the end of the year they opt for admission.Candidates should also have any other requirement placed by the institution or affiliating university.

Svkm's Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic Mumbai admission to Diploma courses is done on the following basis. Candidates must have cleared their MSBSHSE or any other equivalent exam, with 35% pass in aggregate as well as in specifically prescribed subjects namely Mathematics, Science, and English. It is an under graduate college affiliated to the University of Pune where admission is taken through CAP with 80 % of total intake seats for students belonging to Maharashtra state and 20% for outside Maharashtra state. Reservation follows government norms: SC 13%, ST 7%, OBC 19%, and EWS 10%. Document verification as well as counseling only happen after CAP registration.

G.S. Mandal's Marathwada Institute of Technology (MIT, Aurangabad) offers a 3 - 4 years B.E. / B.Tech in Full Time mode. Aspirants can apply for B.E. / B.Tech in any of the offered specialisations which include Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering, etc.Eligibility criteria for B.E. / B.Tech at G.S. Mandal's Marathwada Institute of Technology (MIT, Aurangabad): Candidates must have studied Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ IT/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies with 50% marks (45 % for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together from any recognised Board/Council. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible. Maharashtra State candidates must appear for MHT-CET. All India candidates need to appear for MHT-CET/JEE Mains. Qualifying Exam: Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent.2. Optional Subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.3.
