On the other hand to be considered for admission in any of the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu you have to posses a valid TNEA score which is determined by the Anna University for admitting students to the engineering courses. The university also given importance to the scores obtained in other national level entrance exam such as JEE Main. In addition, you should be citizen of India and must possess the domicile certificate of the state of Tamil Nadu/Salem.
