Both Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) and Tezpur University are great for B.Tech programs in India, but they differ in some ways:ASTU is the only technical university in the North Eastern Region of India. ASTU offers a variety of B.Tech courses, including Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical, and Electronics and Communication. Tezpur University offers B.Tech courses in six specializations. Tezpur University is known for its emphasis on research and innovation. Government College of Engineering is considered good for the B.Tech courses. Better infrastructure, highly qualified and experienced faculty members, an updated curriculum concerning industries-the college is expected to provide good service with relatively lower fees than that in private colleges. The BTech course at RCCIIT Kolkata is a lot more affordable compared to some of the other options. In general, total fees for an entire term would come up to around INR 3.8 Lacs while the average annual fee is approximately INR 42,000. Fees are starting with INR 40,000 and will increase gradually for a few more years. While RCCIIT doesn't offer hostel facilities, there are much more affordable accommodations available in the form of PGs and local messes, helping maintain the overall expenditure in an economical way.

In my opinion, it's not an easy task. To get admission in CSE branch because as per the current scenario, CSE is the most preferred branch by engineering students. When engineering students get a high score on academic exams they always keep computer engineering as a first choice here. For admission, students need to appear for some entrance exam so there is tough competition between students if you prepare well, then and then only you get admission to CSE branch.
