Dear, it may be difficult to get admission there but don't wait. It's my advice to you to take admission wherever you are getting the seats. Just apply for it and you can also wait for some time to check the cutoff list.

It will not, but I suggest you that you can do the coding along with your studies, because if there is a gap in the studies, it is not so valued. Coding is not a big thing, as I am also doing B.Tech in computer Science and engineering. In every semester, we find almost a new programming language and along our regular studies we all practicing the coding too. I suggest you that due to only coding don't make a gap in your studies.
