A Candidate who has passed the 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India (or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto) can register for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of the CA programme. But they can write the examination only after passing the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or waiting for the 10+2 exam results. There are no restrictions with regard to the age of the candidate or marks secured in Senior Secondary Examination. It takes 5 years to complete CA course. By the year 2006, the ICAI has launched the three level of this course. CPT (Common Proficiency Test) IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course). FC (Final Course)

Both are different fields. In engineering you'll get good placements while in CA in term wise you'll get good salary packages.

Try for schools apart from IIMS. FMS, Delhi is a good option. Doon Business School, Dehradun is also a likely option as the fee is reasonable and quality of education is at par with the top business schools.

For correspondence course, you can try IGNOU. There is a MoU with ICAI and IGNOU and you need to give only 4-5 general exams to get your B.Com degree.

Age is not a barrier for CA exam. However, you need to block 4-5 year for this course. Plan your future accordingly.

It's simple. Most of the syllabus for the entrance is ready covered in CPT. Appear for entrance test. Get admission in a good institute. Write CA final after MBA. Thanks and all the best.
