Hi Naved,I think you should do Eng(Hon) through distance and you should go for CA coaching because as you know CA is one among the toughest professional course.If you go for coaching then you'll be able to understand the question model and you can practice more and more.Without attempting any classes you shouldnot attempt CA exams.There are lot of students who do other courses along with CA through distance.

Hi Parul,you can do any short term courses.But I think you should inform ICAI that you are pursuing such and such course.Without their knowledge you are not supposed to pursue any other courses.

If you are desirous of Indian Economic Services or Civil Services or in academics then an MA/PhD in Economics is not a bad idea. If you have ambitions to serve a firm or practice as a consultant then CA is not a bad idea.

As per my understanding a CA is useful to create the documents required by the government and hence is more like a documentation expert. However, a CS takes the company point of view and advises on financial areas on acquisitions and investments and plays a much more active role. A CA on the other hand gets work due to the govt rules, whereas a CS has to give his expertise and then only gets work. So if you want a fixed income then CA is the route but if you're a sharp mind and likely to be able to find solutions to situations, then CS could be a better bet. Wish you the best for your career. Hey Rinky,if you are a commerce or a science student who just have passed your class 12 then you can write the CPT exam which is the primary step of CA.It is conducted twice in a year-June and December.If you are a graduate then you can go for direct entry that is it helps you to enter the second level IPCC without CPT.You haven't mention anything about your qualification.If you can just mention it so that we can help you
