AutoCAD is a CAD (Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Drafting) software application for 2D and 3D design and drafting.
Pro/ENGINEER is a parametric, integrated 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution created by Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). It was the first to market with parametric, feature-based, associative solid modeling software.

Universities like RISD, Art Centre College of Design, Pratt Institute and Parsons are the best colleges for industrial and product designing in states. There is IISc - Bangalore in India, which also provides MS in industrial design.

BBA-CAM can not be equated equal to BCA which is purely a technical job oriented degree. If you want to have technical career, you may opt for MCA but if you want to have techno-managerial career you may opt for MBA-IT.
