The University primarily uses merit to determine admission to undergraduate programs; however, for some other programs, it also takes scores from national and state entrance tests, including JEE Main and CAT, as well as WBJEE. In addition, the university administers the Calcutta University Entrance Exam, which is an internal admission test.
