To know about this, it is advised to check your respective programme page of CSULB as some programs may require a GRE score or some may have waived off the GRE requirement. Apart from this, do not forget to meet the general graduate academic requirements and program-wise requirements. Note that the graduate admission process is two-fold. The international admission officials at CSULB shall perform a preliminary evaluation of coursework to see if the applicant meets the California State University Long Beach admission requirements. From there on, the graduate departments at CSULB will take decisions.

According to U.S. News & World Report,  CSULB acceptance rate is 40%. This means that CSULB is selective when it comes to admissions. So, in order to take admission to CSU Long Beach, the applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements and English language requirements. Furthermore, apply before the deadline and submit all the required documents.

In the case of graduate courses, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. However, 3.0 is recommended. For admission to graduate courses, students must have completed a four-year college course of study and must have an acceptable baccalaureate degree from an institute recognised by a regional accrediting institute. On the other hand, for admission to undergraduate courses of CSU Long Beach, including STEM, students are expected to have a 3.0 GPA.
