Yes, international students are allowed to do part-time work while studying in Canada. However, there is a cap on the number of hours a student can work per week. International students can work up to 20 hours per week, meanwhile, it is recommended to work only 15 hours a week to not affect your studies. You can work as a waiter or cashier in a restaurant or mart. You can even give private tuition in part-time work. The study visa for Canada allows international students to work while studying. This helps to reduce the financial burden and cover other expenses.

Obviously, you need a visa to enter a foreign country. Canada offers various kinds of visa to foreign nationals. Foreign nationals coming to Canada to study are given a student visa by the government of Canada. You can apply online for a visa to Canada, however, you are required to visit the nearest embassy for documentation purposes. Fees for a study permit to Canada per person costs $150 and to restore your status as a student you are required to pay a $200 additional charge to get a new study permit for $150. It means to restore your status as a student you are required to pay a total of $350 per person.
