You need to have no backlogs and 6.5 in all modules of IELTS. That's the basic requirement.

The reason for the gap, if you have gained some work experience in a particular field then you can mention that. Paperwork is of utmost importance to get a study visa.

Hi Jaspreet Singh,
Without 55%, you cannot apply. Even if you apply some low ranking college might accept you but you won't get a visa. So I will suggest you to omit your Canada college plan and venture out somewhere else. Also before applying anywhere check with the colleges directly as to acceptance of distance education.

Hello Sohanit, Student Visa is normally granted by Canada to a student who has obtained admission in an institute in Canada for studies. So don't worry. If you get admission you are bound to get Visa.

It is completely dependent on the schools you are applying for. You have chances to get your visa. IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 is a good score.
All the best.

Hi, NIOS offers secondary, post secondary and Diploma programmes not Bachelor's degree, so how did you graduate from NIOS? You have to use these terms properly specially it will mean a big deal when you are applying to foreign universities.

You cannot even apply to Canada without IELTS. There is no question of getting a visa without IELTS. IELTS is to prove your English language proficiency. Without proper language skills, you will not be bale to complete your studies successfully.
