To submit your application online for a Canada visa, you'll need a scanner or camera to create electronic copies of your supporting documents. You'll also need a functional credit card to pay the application cost. It will still be necessary for you to submit a finger scan at the nearby Visa Application Centre (VAC). Then, you will need to visit the VFS offices to present your passports and the proof for your fee payment if you completed your application online.

There are two ways to apply for a Canada visa: (a) Apply online: To apply online, you need a scanner or camera to make electronic copies of your papers that you may submit, as well as a working credit card to cover the application fee. At the local Visa Application Centre, a finger scan will still be requested of you. Keep in mind that if you submitted an online application, you would also need to visit the VFS offices to submit your passports and the receipt for your fee payment. The only difference between the processes would be the paperwork you need to provide to the VAC.  (b) Apply on paper:  You are allowed to apply on

For studying abroad you need a valid Canada study permit issued by the embassy of Canada in your home country. The cost of Canada student visa is CAD 150. If the duration of your course is less than 6 months, then international students do not require a study permit. However, if your course length is more than 6 months then you are required to apply for a study permit in the nearest Canadian embassy. Importantly, you need to know that the study permit is not a visa, once approval for your study permit comes through, Canadian government will automatically give your either a visitor visa or an eTA visa.
