First, you need to apply for a college, get the admission offer and then apply for a visa.Your visa chance will depend on your profile, scores, future plans and of course the visa officer.

Hi,
The best ones always ask for 6.5 or 7, so you need to have strong profile in other parameters like work experience, research / publication, co-curricular activities and references. There is no harm in checking with the university requirements and applying.

Hi Guri,
You need at least 55% to apply under SPP program. For the top ranked universities, you need more than 70%. These are the university admission requirements and scoring these marks does not mean that you will get the visa. You must receive the admission offer from the university, after which you can apply for the visa. The visa officer will also evaluate your profile.

Hi Abhi,
It is not always possible. Normally, you cannot apply for a student visa from within Canada. You must also have a legal status in Canada if you want to apply for a work or a study permit while in visitor visa. Please check here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=483&top=15
You will find all details here on the CIC website.

Hi Harry,
Your chances are dicey. For better chances you must work on your visa application and have clarity over your career plans and intent of study. Just a tip, do not show any intent of immigration, your motive should be to study and come back to India and not permanent settlement there.
