You need at least 55% to apply under SPP program. For the top ranked universities, you need more than 70%. These are the university admission requirements and scoring these marks does not mean that you will get the visa. You must receive the admission offer from the university, after which you can apply for the visa. The visa officer will also evaluate your profile.

It is not always possible. Normally, you cannot apply for a student visa from within Canada. You must also have a legal status in Canada if you want to apply for a work or a study permit while in visitor visa. Please check here:

You will find all details here on the CIC website.

Your chances are dicey. For better chances you must work on your visa application and have clarity over your career plans and intent of study. Just a tip, do not show any intent of immigration, your motive should be to study and come back to India and not permanent settlement there.

Your visa result will depend on whether you got the admissions or not, the university, your profile, intention and reason of studying, financial status, career plans and the visa officer. So, it is hard to comment if you will get the visa.

5.5 band is not acceptable in any foreign country for admissions into PG courses. An overall 6.5 is required. Either you can opt for retaking the IELTS or check out for bridge courses.

You need to secure your admission first, before applying for visa. You can explore universities, qualify for it and seek admission first.
All the best.
