The minimum education qualification to apply for the IAS exam is a graduate degree. The candidate cannot apply for IAS after Class 12 th. Candidates who are in their final year of Graduation can apply for the exam but they will be required to provide the degree of their exam in the Detailed Application Form (DAF) -2 filled for the main exam in June. Alternatively, the candidates aiming for the IAS exam can start preparing for the IAS exam after class 12th, it would help them in clearing the exam in the first attempt.

Hello!
To admission in NIT's, your Category Rank as well as CRL Rank is considered in JoSAA Counselling. If you belong to any of the reserved category, and since reserved category has some reservations, so your category rank will be considered in that case. And if you belong to general category, then only the CRL rank will be considered. But at the time of counselling first you'll be allotted with your General Rank but if you don't get a seat with General Rank, then your category rank will be considered.
