A career as a cargo manager offers a variety of employment options. With the emergence of new airlines and airports in various areas, the aviation business is growing. Because departments are small, there is little room for career advancement in cargo management. Many sizable export and import businesses employ their own goods forwarders. A Cargo or Shipping Manager can advance to the level of Senior Freight Forwarder or Senior Export Administrator.
